The architects of Bodø's largest church were Gudolf Blakstad and Herman Munthe-Kaas. It is a functionalist church and was finished in 1956. It was protected in 2002.
The church was built with concrete and was basilica shaped. The belfry stands next to the church and it´s 36 meters tall and contains 3 bells.
